StateoftheUnion.com, StateoftheState.com and StateoftheCity.com is a real life civics ed lesson and scholarship contest for students. The idea of the project is to simply get you more involved and informed in current government.

As students you will soon be voting, or perhaps you are even voting already. You are beyond a "schoolhouse rock" type of learning, beyond simulations, theories or even field trips. You should and can go deeper into what is going on because government is happening in real life all around you; at the Local level, at the State level and at the Federal level.

The project began and had it's origin in California. In 2011 and 2012 / 2013 tests were conducted (in California only) utilizing both StateoftheState.com and StateoftheCity.com. Those tests and submitted (high school) student reports are still posted on those sites.

For 2015 / 2016 we are conducting another test. However this test will include and focus on StateoftheUnion.com.
